Although the '03 Yamaha R1's 43mm inverted fork performs well, we actually preferred the Race Tech-modified 41mm fork on the '98 model, which provided more consistent damping and chassis control. We felt the same regarding the stock '03 Kawasaki ZX-6R fork; the 46mm conventional fork on the older 6R modified by Traxxion Dynamics simply worked better. View Related Article
