Features and Benefits

 2004 Kawasaki Z750 Engine

  • 748cc 4-Cylinder, DOHC Engine
  • Based on the 953cc Z1000 engine, but with a smaller bore
  • Engine tuning designed to deliver middleweight sportbike power with good response across the rev range and a broad, linear powerband
  • External ribs on the sides of the cylinder enhance engine appearance
  • To decrease engine weight and improve heat transfer, the cylinders have linerless chrome composite plated aluminum bores
  • Lightweight aluminum engine covers
  • 4-Valve Cylinder Head features a reshaped combustion chamber, intake and exhaust ports plus revised valve angle match the smaller bore
  • Front cam chain guide is lightweight, mounts easily, assures accurate valve timing
  • Single valve springs for less weight, reduced mechanical noise and fewer parts
  • Liquid Cooled water jacket designed for optimum cooling efficiency
  • Large radiator eliminates need for oil cooler, reducing weight and improving appearance
  • Electronic Fuel Injection with 34mm Keihin throttle bodies with sub throttles
  • Sub throttle valves are controlled by the ECU to provide precise response and make EFI performance similar to constant velocity carburetors
  • Atomizing injectors provide a fine fuel mist for smoother throttle response and reduced fuel consumption
  • Low-friction throttle grip barrel provides smooth operation with less fatigue
  • TCBI Ignition with Digital Advance
  • High-speed 32-bit processor provides precise engine management
  • Spark plug-mounted ignition coils are compact and help reduce weight
  • 4-into-1 painted stainless steel exhaust system
  • Joined header pipes help enhance low-end power
  • Race-style oval muffler adds to the appearance
  • Hondeycomb catalyzer meets emissions regulations without adversely restricting power
  • High-tensile tubular diamond steel alloy frame is constructed of large-diameter, thin-walled tubing for strength and rigidity
  • Large-diameter 41mm front fork is rigid for great handling
  • Uni-Trak Rear Suspension
  • Cast aluminum linkage provide quick suspension response
  • Linkage ratios offer smooth and linear suspension response
  • Rear shock has adjustable preload and rebound damping
  • Dual 300mm lightweight front discs with twin-piston calipers provide excellent stopping power
  • Single 200mm rear disc with single piston caliper is lightweight
  • High Performance Wheels and Tires
  • New 6-spoke, ZX-10R style wheels are light and provide a sporty appearance
  • Bikini front cowl with twin-bulb, multi-reflector headlight has ducts to help create and "air curtain" that reduces rider buffeting
  • Race-inspired inner rear fender with LED tail light
  • Optional passenger seat cover adds style for solo riding
