We were as anxious as anyone to see how quick the ZX-14 would be at Los Angeles County Raceway, and the big Kawasaki didn't disappoint, carding a 9.689 sec. @ 145.90 mph pass. Here is a chart showing the ZX-14's acceleration vs. time compared to our last Suzuki Hayabusa test unit.
We also made some top speed passes with the Kawasaki and an '06 Hayabusa. In stock form the Suzuki ran 184.5mph, while the Kawasaki carded 184.0mph. We then removed the stock speed limiters from each bike. The Suzuki then ran 188.9mph, the Kawasaki 188.3mph.
