For 2011, KTM offers its first competition use only, limited production of the 1190 RC8R. This pure race bike is perfect for riders competing on a national championship level as well as committed track day enthusiasts. The bike is assembled by the KTM factory racing department, they took off all the street equipment and only added the essential parts for serious racing and track days.
RC8R RACE SPEC ENGINE DETAILS
- 75° V-twin EFI 1195cc
- Bore/ Stroke – 105x69mm
- 180 Hp - 97.4 lb-ft
- Equipped with Akrapovic Evo 4 titanium exhaust system for maximum performance
- Enclosed is a thinner head gasket to increase compression and a cam adjustment tool to set new more aggressive timing
- Racing air filter for increased flow
- Race ECU is programed to match the new engine components and connected to a racing wiring harness for maximum power with minimum weight
- Race slipper clutch designed to slip under heavy downshifts for maximum traction in race conditions
- Racing electronic quick shifter interupts the ignition for a fraction of a second and allows for quick upshifts under acceleration without the use of the clutch
- GP style (reverse) shift pattern is standard equipment
RC8R RACE SPEC SUSPENSION
- WP 4618 Race Shock is fully adjustable with remote hydraulic preload adjuster
- The shock and forks are tuned specifcally for the Race Spec chassis
- Higher quality components provide additional adjustability and more consistant performance under race conditions
