Schwantz's World 500cc Grand Prix championship in 1993 was the culmination of a lot of hard work and perseverance. His ability to get the most out of a motorcycle that wasn't quite up to spec was legendary. However, his position as a consultant at Suzuki permits him to stay involved with the sport (like here, with current 500cc world champion Kenny Roberts Jr.), allowing him to use present-day racing examples in his classroom seminars.
