2004 Yamaha YZF-R1 on the Dyno

2004 Yamaha YZF-R1 on the Dyno
Midway between the CBR1000RR and ZX-10R

Finally, we picked up the last of the three new literbikes, the Yamaha R1. First order of business, of course, was to put in a few runs on our Superflow CycleDyn dynamometer. Here are the impressive results. Look for our giant literbike comparison test in the next issue of Sport Rider, on sale soon. Check back here next week when we post the complete dyno test-all four 2004 models, run on the same day, on the same dyno, as well as all the quarter-mile results.
