BMW K1300S $15,550
Engine L-C 16V 1293 Inline-Four
Seat HT. 32.3 IN.
Wheelbase 62.4 IN.
We were as surprised as anyone when the updated K1300S uprooted the Suzuki Hayabusa as king of the hyperbikes in our comparison test last year. The new king returns unchanged for '10 after its significant makeover last year, but that's not to say any change is needed. Options include traction control and gearshift assist.
BMW R1200R $12,795

BMW S1000RR $13,800
Engine L-C 16V 999 Inline-Four
Seat HT. 32.3 IN.
Wheelbase 56.4 IN.
A completely atypical BMW, the S1000RR is the company's World Superbike entry and a no-compromise supersport model aimed at Japan's best literbikes. Conventional in many aspects-no Duolever or Telelever here-the S bristles with trickery such as Formula 1-derived engine internals, variable-length intake tracts, ride-by-wire throttle, racing ABS and traction control.
BMW F800ST $10,905
Engine L-C 8V 798 Inline-Twin
Seat HT. 33.1 IN.
Wheelbase 57.7 IN.
This middleweight sport-touring model is all comfort, with a full fairing, high windshield and touring-oriented ergonomics. That said, it's plenty sporty with 85 horsepower lurking underneath the bodywork. A long list of options includes a low seat or low seat/suspension combination for a 31.1- or 29.9-inch seat height.
Buell 1125R $12,499
Engine L-C 8V 1125 V-Twin
Seat HT. 30.5 IN.
Wheelbase 54.1 IN.
With Danny Eslick winning the AMA's Daytona Sportbike championship onboard the 1125R, Buell's flagship sportbike gained some serious racetrack credentials. Upgrades for '10 include an engine cover sight glass for checking oil level and a battery tender plug. The 1125R will be offered in Arctic White, Racing Red or Midnight Black colors.
Buell 1125CR $11,999
Engine L-C 8V 1125 V-Twin
Seat HT. 30.5 IN.
Wheelbase 54.5 IN.
The modern café racer version of the 1125R-and it keeps much of that bike's performance-receives a new upright tapered aluminum streetfighter handlebar for '10 as well as a host of minor mechanical and styling updates-like polished headers and an LED taillight. New graphics are set on Arctic White, Midnight Black or new Racing Red bodywork.

Even though the 1125 models have stolen some of the Firebolt's thunder, the XB12R has not been neglected. The EFI calibration has been updated, a second oxygen sensor added (all for improved fuel economy and drivablility), and styling updated with the addition of an LED taillight and clear-lens turn signals.
Buell XB9SX $8999
Engine A-C 4V 984 V-Twin
Seat HT. 32.0 IN.
Wheelbase 52.0 IN.
"An urban streetfight designed to handle whatever the big city throws your way," is how Buell describes the Lightning CityX model, with its supermoto-style handlebar and handguards. It too benefits from the same upgrades the other XB models received, as well as the Cherry Bomb Translucid and Kick Ash translucid paint schemes.
Buell XB12Ss/CG $10,299
Engine A-C 4V 1203 V-Twin
Seat HT. 33.2/29.9 IN.
Wheelbase 53.7/51.8 IN.
The Lightning Long model (XB12Ss), with its stretched chassis dimensions and ergonomcis, is one of our favorite XB models, while the cg model features a lowered suspension and seat. Both models receive similar updates to the XB12R, and we love the color options: Cherry Bomb Translucid, Kick Ash Translucid, or Midnight Black.
Buell Blast $Available on request
Engine Smashed

Wheelbase Variable
Instead of fading away into oblivion as most sportbikes past their prime do, the Blast is going out with a bang. Well, a smash actually, as the company is offering crushed versions of the bike in '10 for use as an ottoman, end table or simply art. Are they serious? We're not sure, but figured we'd include it here anyway.
