In this OTT video, team coordinator Rich Doan gives us a tour inside the secret confines of Yoshimura Suzuki Racing, the firm responsible for Mat Mladin’s unprecedented seven AMA Superbike titles, and where he spent 13 of his 14 seasons racing in the U.S.A. Doan provides some insight into the activity inside the Yosh race shop, as well as some interesting viewpoints on his 14 years with the Yoshimura Suzuki crew. Probably the best is his last comment about the early ‘90s when the American Honda team was the dominant force in AMA roadracing, and everyone else including the Yosh team was struggling to keep them in sight: “To put it bluntly…we sucked.”
