AMSOIL has expanded its line of premium motorcycle oils to include a new SAE 60 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil. Like other AMSOIL motorcycle oils, AMSOIL SAE 60 is specially formulated to excel in all areas unique to motorcycles, including the high operating temperatures of air-cooled engines, wet-clutch lubrication, and extreme pressure regions of gears and chains.
The new 60-weight oil features high-temperature film strength and anti-wear additives so engine protection is not compromised, even in high heat conditions. AMSOIL SAE 60 Synthetic Motorcycle Oil maintains oil pressure in high heat situations and is an excellent choice for older Harley Davidson motors such as the Knucklehead, Panhead, Shovelhead and other big-bore motorcycles requiring an SAE 60 viscosity grade. It is thermally stable and contains maximum levels of oxidation inhibitor additives. It is extremely resistant to breakdown while preventing damaging sludge and carbon deposits for superior engine cleanliness. Its shear-stable formulation will not thin out from mechanical activity, so it performs like a gear lube without the negative effects of extreme pressure additives. With AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oil, there is no need for a separate transmission lubricant.
