Rancho Dominguez, Calif. - July 31, 2012 - Saddlemen racers took to the track this weekend for round 8 of the AMA Pro Racing Series, part of the Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, Calif. James Rispoli captured the spotlight in the SuperSport class by putting on an impressive fight for his 5th win of the year.

Celtic Racing/Orient Express rider James Rispoli got off to an early lead in Saturday’s race on his Saddlemen Performance Chicane equipped Suzuki, but did not go unchallenged for the win. A pass in turn 5 on the last lap pushed Rispoli back to the 2nd position, but the series points leader rebounded to take the win with an exciting pass in the final turn. The maneuver gave Rispoli his 5th race win of the year, and extended his lead in the AMA Pro Motorcycle-SuperStore.com SuperSport West points to 60 with one event and two rounds remaining.
Riders Discount Vesrah’s Jake Lewis put in a strong race at the front to finish 4th, missing the final spot on the podium by just 1/1000 of a second. Rispoli’s teammate Corey Alexander rounded out the top 5 aboard his Saddlemen Performance Sport seat.

In Sunday’s Daytona SportBike race, each of the Saddlemen sponsored riders finished inside the top 10. Ducshop Racing’s Jake Zemke finished 4th aboard his Ducati 848. Riders Discount Vesrah Suzuki racer Cory West took 6th on his Saddlemen Performance seat, while teammate Joey Pascarella finished 8th. Road Race Factory/Red Bull rider JD Beach rode his Yamaha to a 9th place finish.
