Oxnard, Calif. – September 28, 2012 – AMA Pro Racing traveled to Miami, FL for Round 11 of the 2012 season. Galfer USA riders proved to be tough competition, earning 4 class victories to go along with 12 podium finishes for the Triumph Big Kahuna at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

M4 Suzuki’s Chris Ulrich put up two top-10 finishes in the premier SuperBike class with a 6th place finish on Saturday. Ulrich followed this performance with an 8th place finish on Sunday despite having to remount following a crash. Fellow Galfer USA racer Chris Fillmore took 11th place on Saturday and 14th on Sunday. HMC/KTM’s Fillmore is currently 12th in the season SuperBike standings, while Ulrich sits in the 11 spot.

AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike
Geico Suzuki’s Martin Cardenas wrapped up the 2012 Daytona SportBike championship with a 2nd place podium finish Saturday, followed by fellow Galfer riders Bobby Fong, Dane Westby and Jake Gagne to round out the top 5.
Sunday’s race belonged to RoadRace Factory/Red Bull’s Jake Gagne, claiming his first SportBike victory of the year. Westby joined him on the podium in 2nd as Cardenas and David Gaviria finished 4th and 5th, respectively.
Cardenas secured his second career Daytona SportBike championship with 7 race wins and 12 podium appearances this season on his Galfer equipped Suzuki. Dane Westby has a comfortable points cushion in 2nd, and Jason DiSalvo is in 5th.

Celtic Racing/Orient Express rider James Rispoli was in fine form once again this weekend as he won for the 7th time this year on Saturday. Fellow Galfer USA riders Stefano Mesa and Tomas Puerta joined Rispoli on the podium, and Rispoli’s teammate Corey Alexander finished 5th.
Rispoli was back at it on Sunday for his 8th victory of the season. Galfer USA racers Dustin Dominguez joined him on the podium in 3rd and Mesa finished 4th. Hayden Gillim rounded out the top 5.
Though this round did not affect the West Standings, Rispoli has all but secured the West title with a 60-point lead over Gillim going into the final round in New Orleans. The battle for the East is much closer, as Dominguez holds just an 8-point lead with Mesa and Puerta still in striking distance in 3rd and 4th.

AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Series
Galfer USA’s Michael Barnes claimed his second XR1200 victory with a final lap pass for the checkered flag. Fellow Galfer rider Tyler O’Hara held on to take 2nd on the day. Josh Chisum finished 9th.
With just one race remaining the XR1200 battle is about as close as could be, with Barnes clutching to a mere 2-point lead over O’Hara. Josh Chisum is in 8th place in the standings.
