Welcome to our Hindle Exhaust Systems race update newsletter.
The Montreal Supermotocross took place on September 29th, 2012 in Montreal, Canada. Here, top pros compete under the lights of the Montreal Olympic Stadium.
The AMA Pro Roadracing series wrapped up the 2012 season with its final round on October 6th and 7th, 2012 at NOLA Motorsports Park in New Orleans, Louisiana.
2012 Montreal Supercross
The Montreal Supercross is organized into two race classes: MX1 (450s) and MX2 (250s). The top-10 of each MX1 Final and MX2 Final are able to race in the "Super Final", which is a mix of both.
American rider, Topher Ingalls, raced a Hindle-powered Scott/Walton/D4 Performance Honda CRF450 in the MX1 class and the Super Final. Despite injuries sustained from overshooting the quad in Saturday morning's practice, Topher finished in 10th place in the MX1 Final. "I qualified 6th heading into the main, but really had a hard time riding the MX1 main event, I gave it everything I had and rode as well as my body would let me and finished 10th. In the superfinal I started around 13th, and rode consistent laps and worked my way into 9th by the end of the race. Overall my head held me back, but i gave it everything I had and am glad to walk away with 2 top 10 finishes and head in the 2013 AMA Supercross Season healthy", commented Topher in his blog about the race.
Redemption MX's Eric Jefferey (#42), aboard a Hindle-powered Kawasaki KX250F, finished the MX2 Final also in 10th place. Both Topher and Eric went on to race in the Super Final. With the Super Final race consisting of the top 10 of each class, Topher was able to finish (still injured) in 11th place, with Redemption MX's Eric finishing in 17th place.
About Montreal Supermotocross - The Montreal Supermotocross is an annual event held at the Montreal Olympic Stadium. US and Canadian Pro racers race in the MX1 class (450cc), and Canadian Pro racers race in the MX2 class (250cc). The top ten finishers of each class go on to race in the Super Final, which is a mix of both 450cc and 250cc. The tight and technical design of this Supercross track allows for some great racing.

Round 12 - AMA Pro Roadracing
Round 12 - NOLA Motorsports Park Team Dynojet/ZAG Racing's Javelin Broderick (#814), aboard a Hindle-powered Yamaha R6, had a mixed-feeling weekend at the last round of the 2012 AMA Pro Roadracing season. A few laps into the race, Javelin unfortunately crashed in turn 6 during Race 1 of the Motorcycle-SuperStore.com Supersport class. "I thought it was all over and started packing up when, from the corner of my eye, the #814 went screaming down the front straight. Turns out he picked up his bike and once re-fired, rejoined the race to finish what he had started. No position for us to speak of on this one as he was 3 laps down by the end of the race", said Bernie Broderick, owner of ZAG Racing. Javelin ended up finishing in 27th place because of the mishap.
On the Sunday, Javelin had a great start in Race 2 of the Motorcycle-SuperStore.com Supersport class. "Lap after lap he challenged the two riders in front of him but that was about all her had. Finally, on the last lap, he made a dash on one rider and picked up another position but would finish the race in 21st", added Bernie.
After his first rookie Pro season in AMA Pro Roadracing, Javelin was able to bring home two top-15 finishes. Javelin has completed an amazing first season that Hindle Exhaust Systems was proud to be a part of. Look out 2013!
