GLENDALE, CA - MARCH 15, 2009: Pro Italia Motorcycles, one of the leading Italian motorcycle dealerships in the US, announces a special presentation, demonstration and discussion of great value to anyone who is passionate about a sport (including motorcycling, bicycling, and skateboarding) that may result in a sports-related trauma...or knows anyone who is. The event is titled "Filling the Gap: Understanding Protective Gear and Sport-Related Injuries and What to Do Until the Arrival of Medical Care," and will be led by Philip R. Delio, MD, Rushdi Abdul Cader, MD, and Angelo Ghiglieri, EMT (Buttonwillow Raceway Track).
It is often the first few minutes directly following a trauma that make the difference in terms of recovery, and these three experts will discuss how to make important decisions if you are in an accident or are at the scene of an accident. "In the wake of an accident, you have to make some very important decisions very quickly," says Bill Nation, the Dealer/Principal of Pro Italia. "This important discussion will teach you about injury treatment and injury management. Hopefully it won't be needed, but in the event it is, you will be prepared."
The presentation will be held from Noon-2:00 PM on Sunday, March 15, 2009, at the Pro Italia located at 3319 N. Verdugo Road, Glendale, CA, 91208. There is no cost for admission, and all who are interested - including non-motorcyclists - are welcome.
