The motorcycle industry is well-known for taking care of its own, and has come together in a Big Way recently in support of Sport Rider's own senior editor Andrew Trevitt, who was critically injured in a motorcycle testing accident last November.
In the past three months, eBay auctions of over 300 donated items have earned more than $45,000 for Trevitt's recovery and transition efforts. While the last of the original donations are scheduled for posting in the next month, the Trevitt Benefit would like to issue one last call for additional auction items from the industry. Anything motorcycle-oriented of value is acceptable, and 100% of it goes to help with Trevitt's recovery.
Trevitt has dealt with numerous surgeries since the accident, and his latest has helped him regain additional range of motion in his left elbow. This will help boost his mobility and accelerate his escape from the transitional living facility where he's spent the last six months of his life. Trevitt's short-term goal is to move into a private wheelchair-accessible apartment his wife Deborah recently rented for them.
