After the successful debut of the new-generation VMAX last year, beginning today Yamaha will continue its limited production priority order delivery program for 2010 with the model that originally started the power-cruiser genre. Slated to be available in a new candy red paint scheme, the 2010 V-Max will be powered by the same 1679cc four-valve, DOHC liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine utilizing YCC-T fly-by-wire throttle and YCC-I variable intake length technology, a five-speed transmission with slipper-type clutch, shaft drive and a 200/50R-18 rear tire. Also returning are the same all-new lightweight aluminum frame and swing arm, fully adjustable forks and single rear shock, Brembo(r)-designed brake master cylinders, wave-type brake rotors, and ABS.
The 2010 Star VMAX will have a suggested retail price of $19,500. The VMAX production units are only available to order now until November 30, 2009, through any Star Motorcycles dealership via the priority delivery order program. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in November. Each bike will feature a two-year warranty, and there will also be special retail financing available for the 2010 VMAX, with rates as low as 5.99% APR for 72 months for qualified customers who place their order and deposit during the priority delivery period.
The 2010 VMAX micro site will contain all 2010 model information, including images, video, product specifications, and how to order. Please visit
