After tantalizing the motorcycling world for a year following its unveiling early in ’09 at the company’s Berlin manufacturing plant, BMW finally let the world’s motorcycling press loose on its watershed sportbike that is set to break the long-held perception of the Bavarian company. No alternative front suspensions, shaft drive, or left field take on powerplant convention with this machine—in fact, the new BMW is probably the most “conventional” sportbike the company has ever produced.
