MV Agusta's iconic F4 body style was sure to be a tough act to improve upon, but its time was bound to come eventually. After numerous iterations--first as a 750cc, then 1000cc, and a few stabs at special editions named after Ayrton Senna and Claudio Castiglioni--the design team couldn't wait any longer.
What they came up with is a tour-de-force of Italian ingenuity and engineering that improves upon its predecessor while keeping the classic shape the people love. MV learned from Ducati's mistake with the 999 and knew any deviation from this basic design would cause a stir and controversy. In short, the entire bike is lighter and more powerful. But would this translate to a winner on the street and the track? You'll have to read Associate Editor Siahaan's First Ride report in the June issue for all the details, but for now get a quick look what he thought in his latest blog.
