The new 2012 Ducati 848 Streetfighter...
The new 2012 Ducati 848 Streetfighter uses an “11° Testastretta” engine setup similar to the Multistrada 1200S and Diavel powerplants.
Ducati has pulled the wraps off its 2012 848 Streetfighter, which has been rumored and spy-photo-ed for months now. No technical specs were released, other than that the new middleweight will have an “11° Testastretta” version of the 848 engine, which signifies that the camshaft lift/duration and timing will be very similar to the configuration used in the full-size Multistrada 1200S and Diavel models in order to provide better low-end and midrange punch. The 848 Streetfighter will also have DTC (Ducati Traction Control), along with a revised chassis to better work with the more upright ergonomics of the Streetfighter.
No prices were released, but the 848 Streetfigther will be delivered to dealerships in January 2012, in red, yellow, and matte black “Stealth” motifs.
