MV Agusta debuts Brutale 675

In addition to releasing details on its new F3 supersport machine, MV Agusta is also debuting a middleweight naked bike using the F3 platform, the Brutale 675. Scaling in at a claimed 359 pounds dry, the new mini-Brutale sports the same basic three-cylinder 675cc engine as the F3, with slight detuning for more low-end and midrange torque. Helping in this area are slightly smaller 47mm throttle bodies (the F3 uses 50mm units). Claimed output is 115 horsepower at 12,500 rpm, with the same peak 52.4 ft/lb torque reading as the F3.

The same MVICS system as the F3 is used on the Brutale 675, with four different engine maps along with a customizable fifth configuration. Traction control is also featured, with the same eight settings as available on the F3. Chassis and suspension are basically the same, with altered suspension spring and damping rates for the Brutale’s less-serious speed intent.

No MSRP for the Brutale 675 has been set yet, although considering its €8990 pricing in Europe, it’s a sure bet the mini-Brutale will be the most accessible MV Agusta yet.
