The April 2013 issue of
Sport Rider is now on sale, and is available in print and digital editions. This issue is our twenty-year anniversary issue and features a special, fifteen-page section that’s dedicated to our best covers, most memorable feature stories and the products, people and racers that helped shape the sportbike world.
Between the covers you’ll also find a story on the history of the MotoGP World Championship and a full test on the 2013 Kawasaki ZX-6R, which we tested against the smaller-displacement, 2012 ZX-6R in an effort to find the bigger differences between the two models. Little-bike enthusiasts are covered as well; the April 2013 issue features this year’s lightweight sportbike comparison, which put Honda’s CBR250R up against the all-new Kawasaki Ninja 300 and updated Hyosung GT250R.
Each of this issue’s feature stories has more to offer than originally meets the eye. In our ZX-6R test, for example, we also rode a 2004 ZX-6R 636 and tested Avon’s 3D Ultra Supersport tires. In similar fashion, we tested this year’s 250 models on the racetrack, when equipped with slip-on exhausts and asked our female test riders to give us their opinion on each bike’s performance. Whether you’re interested in Kawi’s new ZX-6R, a new-rider-friendly 250 or simply looking for a little entertainment in the form of a history lesson
SR style, this issue is sure to satisfy your needs.
