I'm sure I read this article awhile ago but it was great re-reading it. I agree with all the comments and suggestions. Through the many years of riding I've ridden with cruisers (don't ask), crazy groups, and calm groups. The current group I ride with has been cultivated in a similar way to Lance's group. But it has come with a bit of trial and error. We've learned that there are no trophies at the end of the ride and that riding with a group of like minded (riding temperament) friends makes it an enjoyable ride without the need for an ambulance ride.

wow I sure am glad I came across this article. a week ago was the first time ever riding a motorcycle. no questions about it, i'm in love. though I am still riding on closed streets and still getting the feel of things. thinking about riding on the street let alone the highway is a scary thought. reading these articles have made me feel a lot better about it. for a 07 gsxr being the first motorcycle i've ever sat on, I think im doing quite well. you can youtube my user name and watch my progress. and please leave some tips and or suggestions. thanks a million for this article, simply amazing! ride on and stay safe!
