Riding with friends at "the pace" on the street, they often ask me why I don't hang off my motorcycle like them.  I felt it wasn't necessary for the street riding for the most part.  This article really spoke to me, as it re-affirmed my thinking for cornering in street riding.  Another benefit for not hanging off is keeping you and your motorcycle on the correct side of the yellow center line.  Hawaii has a lot of 2 lane highways, and hanging off often puts you in the direct path of drivers preoccupied with the beautiful scenery we have here.  Thank you for a great mag, and keep up the great work!

Great article and as Jon_no_h stated makes much better sense on Mountain two lane roads in Western NC.  So many drivers here watch too many NASCAR race's and think they can cut to apex in a blind corner.  I've come close many times to head on encounters even though I was completely in my lane.  Imagine if you were dragging a knee.
