GP Pro Leather Jacket
GP Pro Glove
Alpinestars has pulled the cover off its Fall 2012 motorcycle collection, an innovative lineup of protective apparel that features no less than 20 new-or-updated products. Alpinestars’ all-new Atem one-piece leather suit heads the long list of introductions, but is closely followed by the company’s updated GP Pro suit, GP Pro Glove and more. Advanced construction and testing methods mean each of these products are a step above their predecessors.
The one-piece Atem is closely matched to Alpinestars’ top-of-the-line Race Replica suit and is the first Astars product to be fully CE-certified. CE certification is common fare when discussing back protectors and internal armor, but rigorous testing protocol has – until now – kept gear suppliers from certifying a suit in its entirety. In regards to the Atem, all its materials, construction and protectors were independently tested to meet EN 13595 Level 1 standards. In addition to its newly touted certification, the Atem features an increased number of leather stretch panels for a more contoured fit and increased comfort. Three color options are currently available, with sizes ranging from 48-60 and retail set at $1,499.95. Street specific riders can also enjoy the new Atem leather jacket, which benefits from the same CE certification but retails for just $699.95.
Alpinestars’ GP Pro one-piece suit has been updated as well and features a long list of features derived from racing but suited to benefit the everyday rider. A similarly updated GP Pro leather jacket enhances the collection, and retails for $529.95.
Updated GP Pro gloves complete the track-oriented GP Pro collection and are available in Alpinestars’ famous track design, which decorates the glove with popular MotoGP tracks. In terms of technical advancements, the GP Pro uses a new K-tech Kevlar material consisting of leather, Kevlar and memory foam for increased comfort and abrasion resistance. The GP Pro gloves are flanked by the revised GP Plus glove, new GP-M glove and a handful of Gore-Tex offerings.
