The January 2014 issue of Sport Rider is now on sale and features a first ride report on Yamaha’s all-new FZ-09, a bike that the Editor-in-Chief calls “one of those very rare bikes less than $8,000 that doesn’t have to make any excuses for its low price.” We also ride Ducati’s 899 Panigale at the famous Imola circuit in Italy, and Kawasaki’s updated 2014 Ninja 1000 with optional Kawasaki Quick Release Genuine Accessory saddlebags.
This month’s test schedule wasn’t limited to new bikes, as Associate Editor Bradley Adams would also throw a leg over Sport Rider’s CycleMall Motorsports-prepped Daytona SportBike-spec Kawasaki ZX-6R project bike. Adams would also travel to Varese, Italy, to get a closer look at MV Agusta, CRC, and the Italian manufacturer’s three-cylinder platform.
Our new products section grew for the holidays and features no less than 22 industry-related goodies perfect for your Christmas list. Arai’s new Defiant full face helmet is reviewed, plus the staff takes a closer look at Eric Buell Racing’s new 1190RX, Ducati’s ultra-exclusive 1199 Superleggerra, and Suzuki’s new V-Strom 1000.
