The August 2013 issue of Sport Rider is now on sale and features a comparison test between seven of the best middleweight sportbikes on the market, in addition to a test that put Kawasaki’s Ninja 300 up against Honda’s new CBR500R. Print and digital editions are available.
Sport Rider’s 2013 middleweight sportbike comparison test features everything from Yamaha’s longstanding YZF-R6 to Triumph’s all-new Daytona 675R, and was run at Willow Springs Raceway on Michelin tires. Street testing and performance testing were included, and the scores from all four of our test riders were tallied up in the hopes of crowning a class king. Also compared in this issue were Kawasaki’s Ninja 300 and Honda’s new CBR500R, which did battle in the canyons and on the less-than-perfect roads surrounding the LA area. Will the Kawasaki be able to outshine the larger-displacement CBR? Grab the August 2013 issue and find out.
In addition to the aforementioned comparison tests you’ll find a review on Dunlop’s new Q3 tire, a review of KTM’s 2013 RC8 R, and a story on MotoGP “rookie,” Marc Marquez. Product evaluations include a review of Sena’s new SMH10R headset, Macna’s All Season Concrete jacket in special Night Eye material, and Alpinestars’ Montreal shoe.
