Yoshimura Suzuki team manager Peter Doyle speaks out on racing without Mat Mladin, the job ahead in 2010, and riders Tommy Hayden and Blake Young
It’s a brave new world for Yoshimura Suzuki as they head into 2010 without six-time AMA superbike champion Mat Mladin, and it’s up to current riders Tommy Hayden and Blake Young to carry the flag. With former team manager Don Sakakura now overseeing the company’s burgeoning retail side, Mladin’s former crew chief Peter Doyle takes on the role of team manager. In this video, Doyle talks about what it’s like without Mladin, the job of getting Hayden and Young on top of the box in the American Superbike class, and the difference in riding styles between the three riders (and how it affects the approach to their bike setup). Check out the video in our Features section.
