An old racer's trick is to raise the idle to reduce engine braking. Yoshimura brings this idea into the 21st century with its Engine Management System available for the GSX-R series. The aftermarket ECU takes control of the fast-idle circuit, momentarily opening the butterflies slightly on deceleration to decrease engine braking. The setting can be adjusted to one of three levels, in any gear.
