Suzuki is popular in the sport bike market with its GSX-R lineup, which includes the GSX-R1000, GSX-R750 and GSX-R600. In 2015 Suzuki unveiled two new models based on an older version of the GSX-R1000, the naked 2016 GSX-S1000 and the half-faired GSX-S1000F. At the same time, Suzuki introduced the GSX-S750, a naked motorcycle based on an earlier GSX-R750 model. In the middleweight sport bike category, Suzuki offers the SFV650 V-twin, while in the adventure-touring category there are the V-Strom 1000 and V-Strom 650. For new riders, Suzuki offers the GW250 and GW250F, and the Suzuki sport bike lineup is rounded out by the DR-Z400SM supermotard machine and the TU250X retro-styled classic. Suzuki returned to full-time MotoGP competition in 2015 with the GSX-RR and riders Aleix Espargaro and Maverick Vinales, and has a team in World Superbike competition where Randy de Puniet and Alex Lowes ride the GSX-R1000.
